Tax Swerving Google

Google have been accused of swerving UK Corporation Tax payments of up to £450 million. Through diverting earnings from British customers to it's European headquarters in [hidepost=0]Dublin where the rate of tax is lower for companies. The figures quoted by The Sunday Times show that only €7.5m (£6.7m) of Irish tax was paid in 2008, even though the bulk of Google’s €6.7 billion (£5.9 billion) European earnings flowed into Ireland.
